Med Flight Air Ambulance is the preferred ambulance provider service for many insurance companies and HMOs. In addition to our multiple accreditation and licenses, Med Flight is :
- Directed by Board Certified Emergency Physician Medical Directors experienced in air medical transports and staffed with Air Medical Specialist trained in flight physiology and aircraft safety, and high-time Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) licensed Pilots with special training in Lifeguard (air ambulance) operations.
Med Flight has a history of skilled medical transport service since 1979, when we became the first full-time, dedicated air ambulance service in New Mexico. We have been in continuous operation since then, adding a base in Texas as our business grew.

The mission of Med Flight Air Ambulance is to reflect the vision of MFAA by offering quality medical air transport service locally and to the bordering statewide communities, nationally to the Continental United States, and internationally, except those prohibited by the US department of State.
To become CAMTS accredited, air ambulance companies voluntarily undergo a thorough review of all personnel, manuals and files, and a site inspection of all bases, equipment and aircraft. Only about 10% of more than 1000 air ambulance services in the U.S. have full accreditation.
Med Flight Air Ambulance schedules aircraft exclusively through recognized, FAA Certified aircraft carrier operators. A variety of types and medical configurations are available. Each is designed to perform to the specific needs and requirements of the patient and client.
